    The 2nd Transnational meeting – Albania, 29 February – 3 March 2016 of the Project: EvALRO – DevelopASPEt of equitable Evaluation practices incorporating Gender+ perspectives and cultural diversity in ALbania and ROmania through transnational cooperation among VOPEs was carry out as it was planned.

    Using a large participatory approach, 5 round tables and presentations with participants and leaders from Albanian School of Public Administration, Municipality of Durres, Municipality of Elbasan and University of Elbasan were held during these days. The target of main activities, discussions, presentations and the positive feedback was: advocacy campaign to improve gender sensitive environment for evaluation and professionalization, presentation of the code of practice of ASPE according to principles of Gender, promoting policies and programs for improving gender + sensitive environment for evaluation, enhancing professional capacities of evaluators by continuing training and exchange of experience, drafting a training curricula in evaluation to be further implemented in Albanian Universities, drafting of a Strategy and Action Plan for further strengthening of Albanian evaluation environment. The cooperation agreement between Albanian School of Public Administrations, the strategy proposed from stakeholders to open a Master’s degree in evaluation at the University of Elbasan followed immediately the activities and all stakeholders have put in their agenda the above mentioned outcomes.

    Building working team with partners and participants, the projects activities are also helping ASPE to strength the connections with the local and central Government and universities in Albania.

    The project is still under implementation.
